What is a Typical Treatment Plan?

Treatment is customized for each individual patient. During your first visit to Bloom at King of Prussia Family Wellness, your new patient exam will include:

  • Chiropractic Consultation
  • Orthopedic and Neurological Examination
  • Foot Scan
  • Detailed Health History
  • Review of Personal Wellness Goals

Based on this information, your doctor will recommend a customized treatment plan. Bloom can help you make the most out of one of the most joyous times in your life – your pregnancy. Whether you’re experiencing pregnancy-related back pain, headaches or general discomfort, our customizable care plan is designed to keep you comfortable and healthy.

What should I expect at my first visit?

Utilizing special pillows that allow you to comfortably lie face down while getting a massage or adjustment, we incorporate special, gentle techniques to help with pain.  For postpartum visits, we take special care to accommodate discomfort resulting from c-sections or engorged breasts.

How soon will I see results?

The comfort of you and your baby are at the center of your customized treatment plan. Generally, patients see results within two weeks. If no progress has been made during this time, we will refer to you one of our trusted specialists to address your needs. Our goal is to ease your pain and keep it at a manageable level throughout your pregnancy.

What is your approach to chiropractic care?

Since 2002, Dr. Brandie has been fulfilling her passion of helping women enjoy pregnancy to the fullest. Pain can cloud or disturb the bonding that occurs between mother and child; enjoying the glow and the soft kicks from within can be overshadowed by the natural stresses that your body endures during the process of bringing a child into your life.

Bloom seeks to lessen or alleviate the pain through safe techniques rooted in science. Our approach is holistic, in that we incorporate all individuals responsible for your care:

  • You, through a customized treatment plan
  • Your partner, by providing in-home massage techniques
  • Your OB or midwife, by working in tandem with Bloom’s health and wellness professionals to keep you healthy
  • Your healthcare specialist, by addressing severe issues with your neurologist, orthopedic physician or other doctor
  • Your regular chiropractor, by temporarily transitioning care during this special time

Through small, consistent, positive changes with chiropractic adjustments, massage, exercise, relaxation and nutrition, Bloom can help you can achieve your highest potential of function and vitality. We see you as a whole person, examining and treating the entire body and working with you one-on-one to get you where you want to be.

What if I need chiropractic care after the postpartum period has ended?

Sometimes, headaches, low back pain and pubic symphysis dysfunction continue after the baby has been delivered. Bloom frequently “adopts” patients from other chiropractic practices during pregnancy and short-term postpartum. We provide specialized care during this extraordinary time, and assist with the transition to your original practice after your prenatal and postpartum needs have been met.

If you don’t have a chiropractor, Bloom offers patients a seamless transition to King of Prussia Family Wellness Center, owned by Dr. Brandie and her husband. King of Prussia Family Wellness Center focuses on providing chiropractic care and wellness plans to alleviate pain, achieve optimal body function, enhance sports performance, and encourage better living through fitness and education.
